Cecelia Trost, RN, BSN, CLC

I’m a Registered Nurse with over five decades of experience in healthcare and patient advocacy.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked closely with seniors and caregivers navigating complex medical systems. I’ve seen the challenges firsthand - rushed appointments, confusing paperwork, unclear instructions and valid concerns that were not always fully addressed.

Over time, one truth became very clear:

Most people don’t lack intelligence or responsibility. They lack structure, guidance, and someone willing to slow down and explain.

Why I Created Voice for Aging

I created Voice for Aging after working as a patient advocate for Medicare-aged clients and witnessing something that stayed with me.

Many seniors had valid, urgent concerns. They were thoughtful, responsible individuals who simply needed direction. Yet too often, they felt discouraged because no one took the time to guide them toward a solution.

I felt a deep sense of responsibility to do more than answer questions in the moment.

I wanted to create tools, education and practical systems that felt like a trusted, steady presence - something that would help people feel supported long after the conversation ended.

Voice for Aging was built from that place.

What I Believe

I believe seniors deserve:

• Clear explanations
• Organized systems
• Respectful communication
• The confidence to participate fully in their care

I believe caregivers deserve structure and reassurance, not overwhelming situations.

Healthcare may be complex. But with the right tools, it becomes more manageable.
